Letter of Good Standing/Certificate of Current Professional Status

A letter of good standing/Certificate of Current Professional Status is a letter issued by the Seychelles Medical and Dental Council about a medical practitioner or dentist to confirm that a medical practitioner or dentist is:

1. Legally registered and practising in Seychelles,
2. Has not had any major complaint or concern lodged against him or her,
3. Is not the subject of any inquiry for malpractice and
4. Has not been convicted of any offence while on the register of the Seychelles Medical and Dental Council.

Letters of good standing are usually issued to other regulatory councils when doctors and dentists are seeking registration or employment in other jurisdictions.

A fee of SR 800  is payable for such a letter/certificate.
